In memory of Vanieta L Batman

Spreading Love Through Quilts

Our hope is that when someone receives one of the VL Batman Project quilts it will bring them comfort, and hope. I want them to know that someone cares about what they are going through, even if it is a stranger. I did not want to focus on just one charity, nor did I want to be the one to decide where each quilt goes. Everyone who takes the time to make a quilt for the VL Batman Project has their own story to tell. I am confident that the quilts will go to the person, or place where they will help the most

Whats New With The V L Batman Project

When the VLB Project was first started I had not identified any particular need to focus on. That has changed. I am extremely excited to announce that the VLB Project will be working with the Idaho Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers to provide quilts to children in need of the services provided by the advocacy centers. While all quilts received will be greatly appreciated, and will be used, the VLB Project would like to focus on quilts for children in the 12 to 18-year-old range. This age group is currently underserved. Simply put, fewer quilts are donated that are an appropriate size for this age group. At this time, we are “remodeling” our website so check back from time to time to see what we have added, and for updated information on how you can help with this project. I will be sending out letters to as many of the quilt guilds in Idaho, that I can find an address for, asking for their support. I will also be posting more detailed information about this project soon. For more information regarding the Idaho Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers (INCAC) please check the About tab on our web page. Thank you to everyone who has already supported this project from the beginning. This project would not have made it this far without your help. - Charlie Hendrix Founder
